I’m a 23 year old birth photographer and also a mom to three small kids. I recently had my third child in November 2020. After having three full term and two overdue pregnancies in four years, my body had changed so much. As a birth photographer, I know photography can empower people – I’ve seen it! I stumbled across a post about boudoir photos and Stephanie was SO highly reccomended she was almost the only name in the comments. And there were tons of comments. So I contacted her and took a leap of faith in hopes to learn to accept this new body of mine and love it just as much as I did before kids.
I was so anxious leading up to my session. I shoot documentary photography and posing isn’t my thing. I was nervous I’d come off as awkward. Stephanie was SO thorough and helpful leading up to the session and answered all my questions quickly while assuring me it would be great and she would make sure to direct me during the shoot. I opted for hair and makeup in studio and am so glad. The ladies were amazing, I looked amazing, and felt so pampered and beautiful that it took away any anxiousness for the shoot. Stephanie was phenomenal during the shoot explaining and showing me how to pose, what to do with my hands, how to relax my face, etc.
When I went to my ordering session I was excited, and as soon as I saw the images my heart stopped. Instantly I knew this was SO worth it. And when I got my digitals, I cried. Like, real tears, blubbering. I looked at myself and saw someone worthy, powerful, and GORGEOUS.
Anyone thinking of booking a shoot, definitely do it! Book hair and makeup, pamper yourself, and make the absolute most of it. It was such a seamless and smooth process and is beyond worth it. I loved working with Stephanie, and felt so welcomed by her which was a huge relief and made me so much more comfortable, which definitely shows in the photos. The makeup artist did a beautiful job and was very friendly, I loved her work. The hair stylist also did amazing and was friendly and super easy to talk to!
Stephanie and her team were welcoming, friendly, and professional which made me so comfortable. I was directed every step of the way and felt like a QUEEN the entire session. By the end of the session before even seeing photos I had a huge confidence boost. When I saw the images at my ordering appointment I was in awe, and when I received the final images I was brought to tears. This is easily the best thing I have done for myself ever, and I will definitely be booking with her again!
