Ask my parents and they will tell you that I’ve been able to strike up conversations with strangers since I was very young.  And lucky for me, Kim was one of these strangers!  I attended a photography ‘retreat’ of sorts in Marfa, Texas in February, and while we chatted in a random group of people one of the first nights of the event, I started talking to Kim (of course I complimented her on how gorgeous she is) and she was totally up for ‘modeling’ for a boudoir session with me in my hotel room!!

Believe it or not this is the first time I’ve done a boudoir session in a hotel room.  Normally I get an icky feeling when considering shooting boudoir in a hotel but this hotel was magic!

Kim is also a photographer (no pressure there) and had never done a boudoir session or modeled before!  And the best part is that she has a little baby bump in the photos because she and her hubby are expecting a baby!!

While I didn’t ask Kim to write a review on her experience, she did reply to the gallery of photos I sent her and said, “OH MY, thank you so much for documenting me during such a special, weird time. I’ll cherish these forever — thank you, thank you!!!”
**Side note, but not overly important: these photos aren’t retouched.**

Huge thanks to Kim for volunteering and making the session so much fun!!  I LOVE photographing new people in new places.

These pics of this session shows that simple is sexy and I’m in love how she has more of the natural look, she’s simply gorgeous!

This was one of my favorite sneak peaks to see on Facebook. I just love the grays and how naturally beautiful everything is, your model most of all. This looks like she was so relaxed and had a great time. And I would have never guess in some of the photos there a lil peanut along for the ride. Simple, sexy, classic!! Love it.

Love this shoot! She seems so comfortable and best of all happy in these photos! I’m sure it’s such a strange transitional time-frame to go through when expecting, but it seems you were able to capture her true beauty and share that with her!

I love the simplicity of her outfits (or lack there of 😉 ) and how she looks so natura. You have an amazing talent, Stephanie!!

I think this may be one of my favorite blog posts! She just looks so relaxed and in tune with herself. It’s so perfect!
